# Read depth, spread and uptime

> Compare your liquidity with the full market, select a depth band and understand spread and depth uptime without mistaking missing observations for failures.

Monitoring separates your orders from the rest of the market. Use the same venue, price band and time window when comparing the two.

## Depth bands

A band such as **±2%** measures orders within that distance from the reference used by the view. Bid depth and ask depth are separate notional amounts.

**Ours** is the depth supplied by your tracked orders. The market total includes your contribution, so adding Ours to the total would count it twice.

Changing the band changes which orders qualify for the total. A large amount inside ±2% does not mean the same amount is available inside ±0.5%.

## Market spread and our spread

The market spread uses the market's best bid and ask. Your spread uses your quotes. They can differ when another participant quotes closer to the middle.

Chart overlays let you compare the series. Read the legend and selected exchange before treating a line as your bot's performance.

## Spread uptime

Spread uptime is the share of **observed time** that met the selected spread threshold. Missing observation time is reported separately.

For example, a result based on one hour of observed data is not evidence about an unobserved part of the day. The percentage and its coverage belong together.

## Depth uptime

Depth uptime requires enabled [Depth Support targets](https://docs.ansio.trade/spot/depth-support.md) and available targets for both sides. Without those inputs, the view cannot determine whether both targets were met.

A missing result should stay unknown, rather than become a zero or a pass.

## When a chart looks different from the book

The order book is a current view. Historical charts use recorded observations, so short moves between observations may not appear.

For a useful comparison, select the relevant account and band, read the latest timestamp, then compare the bid and ask sides separately. If updates stop, see [Connection and data issues](https://docs.ansio.trade/troubleshooting/connections.md).
